This term, our learners have been visiting Healey Road Wildlife Garden. Our amazing volunteer, Barry, has supported our learners to plant pumpkins, harvest potatoes and enjoy spending time in nature. Our learners have demonstrated excellent water safety awareness over this time so we decided to explore the wildlife within the pond with a pond dipping session. Armed with a net and an adult, each learners collected samples from the pond and deposited them in the tub for exploration. We captured blood worms, snails and water boatmen whilst having a whole lot of fun. The day was finished with refreshments and bowling. The learners love our garden visits, Barry is an excellent nature guide and we can't wait to return in September.
