It has been a fabulous half term in art, with learners across all key stages demonstrating creativity, enthusiasm and excellent artistic skills.

In Key Stage 2, learners have enjoyed working with clay to create colourful dragon eyes, full of vibrant colour and fantastic detail. Others have explored portraiture by creating self-portraits inspired by the bold, graphic style of artist Julian Opie. One learner even used this distinctive style to create a wonderful portrait of her dog, showing confidence and creativity by adapting the technique to a personal subject.

Our Key Stage 3 learners have impressed us with their realistic clay doughnut sculptures, carefully adding texture and colour to make them look almost good enough to eat. Meanwhile, Key Stage 4 learners have continued developing their own fantastic personal projects, exploring a range of techniques and ideas as they prepare for their qualifications.

Throughout every lesson, learners have shown they are ready, respectful and safe in the art room. They have looked after equipment responsibly and taken pride in producing artwork of a high standard.

Well done to all our learners for another inspiring half term of creativity and achievement together.
