CEO's Update

As we bid farewell to another term at our Multi Academy Trust, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey we have shared this term. Our academies have been buzzing with energy, enthusiasm, and an unwavering commitment to learning. Students have excelled in their studies, participated in engaging projects, and showcased their talents in various performances. It has been heartwarming to see our community come together to support one another, creating an environment where every child can thrive.

As we embrace the festive season, let’s take a moment to reflect on the joys of Christmas. Did you know that the tradition of hanging stockings comes from a story about a kind man named St. Nicholas? Legend has it that he secretly dropped gold coins down the chimney of a poor family's home, which landed in their stockings that were hung by the fire to dry. This  story reminds us of the spirit of giving and kindness that embodies this season.

As we prepare for the Christmas break, I encourage everyone to take this time to relax, recharge, and enjoy precious moments with family and friends.

Wishing you all a joyful Christmas filled with love and laughter, and a New Year that brings new opportunities and adventures.

Very best wishes

Principal's Update

As we approach the festive season, I want to take a moment to celebrate the achievements of Coritani Academy learners this term and thank everyone who has contributed to making it successful.

This term we have continued to live by our core values of being safe, ready and respectful. Our aim to inspire excellence was evident in the enriching opportunities given to our learners that you can read about in this newsletter.

A notable moment was the Key Stage 4 trip to London, where students explored Shakespeare’s world at The Globe Theatre through "A Comedy of Errors." This hands-on experience brought learning to life, deepening their understanding of literature while building confidence in navigating new settings.

I'd like to sign off 2024 with a poem some of our learners have said sums up Christmas for them:

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, the noises were louder, yes even the mouse.

I don’t like not knowing or what to expect, I need my routine and quiet time to reflect

I tried relaxation and had a hot bath but the chaos of visitors took me on a different path.

Visitors are overwhelming, I don’t mean to be rude, I don’t want Christmas dinner  just my usual food.

I don’t react to gifts like other children do but I am really grateful for my presents from you

So be patient with me, be loving, be kind and remember that YOUR Christmas, feels different from mine.

Stay safe this Christmas and have a fab break doing whatever inspires you the most.  See you all in 2025

Executive Principal
