CEO's Update

I hope this term’s newsletter finds you safe and well.

What a year it has been.  I am truly proud of our staff and students, supported by parents and carers who have collectively made this year so successful across the trust.  It has been fantastic to see our academies return to offering trips and visits and a wealth of experiences for our children, far too many to mention here, providing them with opportunities to grow beyond the classroom, and to engage in activities that will make memories that they will have forever.

As part of my role I have the privilege to visit other schools and academies, both locally and further afield.  After any visit, it is always a pleasure to come back to base and spend time soaking up the amazing teaching and learning taking place in our academies and speaking to students - I have to agree with Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz that “there’s no place like home”

In your home, over this holiday period, I hope that you are surrounded by friends and family and that you can enjoy time together.

I look forward to working with you and your children in 2023.

Executive Principal's Update

Writing the newsletter has reminded me of all the fantastic achievements of our learners at Coritani.  It is amazing to see just how much they have grown in such a short space of time.

We started in September with a team building day in the forest. The week focussed on developing a Coritani Mindset  of Safe, Ready, Respectful and inspiring excellence in others.  We know just how well this event worked as we have seen Coritani Mindset from all of our learners everyday since.

We were very proud this term to win a national award for our work at Coritani and know that this achievement is as much for the learners and parents as it is for our staff.  We are a Coritani Tribe and only together can we make the biggest difference to children's lives

Our monthly parent and carer support sessions have been well attended again this term and we would like to send a huge thank you to all of our parents and carers - we recognise  just how hard you work to nurture and guide our learners.

We open again to learners on January 3rd 2023.  Until then stay safe and have a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year

Inspiring Excellence - Ripon
Coritani Seniors travelled to Ripon to explore the world of Charles Dickens, where learners acted out a court case from the Dicken’s era.  It seems that once you get into character, and our learners did, it is easy to transport a 12 year old child to Australia. They met the Guardi...

Ready for the Christmas Future
Learning takes many forms and sometimes it is those things we take for granted that create the best response.  Travelling to Hull on the 350 Fastcat was an adventure, finding the correct platform, negotiating a packed bus in Hull and ensuring we were back in time to return to Scunthor...
